The old way

Sound familiar?

80% of your inputs producing 20% of your output. It works, sort of. It's also exhausting.

What you've been told to do
  • Smile and dial. One more call a day just gets you one more voicemail.
  • The drop-off delusion. It worked once in 2014, so now it's a TED Talk.
  • Driving all over creation. I put 50,000 miles on a Ford Explorer my first year.
  • The Hail Mary email merge. Blast 2,000 advisors with "Hi [name], I'll be in your area."
  • The product update fantasy. No advisor has ever woken up wishing for a better fund.
  • The eternal follow-up loop. Product follow-up is exactly where you get ghosted.
  • Fake value. "We'll put together the optimal portfolio." Translation: we have a Morningstar subscription.
What it actually gets you
  • You work all day and can't name what you accomplished.
  • Burnout. Mainlining coffee, questioning your life choices by Wednesday.
  • Wholesaler Groundhog Day. Same week, same offices, same pitch.
  • No access to the top offices. The same faces at every lunch.
  • Feast or famine. Slammed one week, empty the next.
  • The excuse factory: summer slowdown, tax season, bad territory, my internal, the product.
  • Meetings that don't convert. 100 meetings times zero is still zero.

It's not you, and it's not your territory. It's that you don't have a system.

Inside the training

Three ways to fill your calendar

1

Host a digital event every 4 to 6 weeks

  • One every 4–6 weeks. 8–12 a year, and each one costs you one hour.
  • Members are seeing 100–1,100 attendees a month, 1,000–5,000 a year.
  • 90% of people who register will take a meeting with you.
  • An advisor needs about seven hours with you before they'll do business and refer you. One event with 400 people is 400 hours of watch time for one hour of yours.
  • Four formats: the advisor interview, the industry-leader interview, the big-boss interview, and the quick-hit value-add call.
2

Get the meeting even if they can't come

  • Only about 40% of registrants ever attend, so stop waiting for the event to get the meeting.
  • Zoom emails you the second somebody registers. Forward that email straight to the advisor. They're sitting at their computer and reciprocity is at its peak.
  • Don't go for the meeting. Be cool. One bonus, one personal detail: "Noticed on your website you enjoy hiking. Any hikes you'd recommend in Idaho?"
  • That exact email got a billion-dollar advisor to send back 20 pages of hikes. I did one of them, sent him a photo, and got walked around a 20 to 30 advisor office.
  • Close with the reflexive property: "If not, no big deal, I know you're super busy." People reply with the opposite.
3

Increase attendance at your in-person events

  • 2–4 events a month, 100–400 attendees. Fun events, conferences, lunch and learns, OSJ events, happy hours.
  • When your internal cold calls for a meeting: low pickup, low interest, low conversion. When they call to invite someone to a VIP event: high pickup, high interest, high attendance. The event gets you the meeting.
  • 20 dials a day from your internal and 20 from your scheduler regularly produces 5–10 registrations a day.
  • Don't leave a callback number on the voicemail. Nobody calls back. They just need to see that you called.
  • Budget is not the constraint. I ran a $10,000 Mariners suite for $0 by inviting other wholesalers to chip in $1,000 each.

Frequently asked questions

I'm already busy. I don't have time to add more to my plate.

The Inner Circle is built so it's easy to implement. You get the exact scripts, campaigns, and processes to plug into your territory. All you need is 1 to 2 hours a week. The wholesalers who tell me they're too busy are usually the ones who need this most.

Will my firm pay for this?

Many do. About 60% of our members pay out of pocket because of the return, since one new advisor relationship more than covers the annual cost. But a growing number of firms are covering all or part of the membership. It's always worth asking.

What does it cost?

$7,000 a year normally. $4,500 if you come in from this replay. Add your internal for $1,000 more.

What does the first 60 days actually look like?

You start with a one-hour kickoff call with me, where I get your goals, your territory, and what's in your way. Off that call I'll tell you where to start. By 60 days most members have had at least one early win. We walk you through it step by step. You're never figuring it out alone.

How is this different from other sales coaching programs?

I'm still in the field. I'm not a coach who left wholesaling 20 years ago and teaches from a whiteboard. I built these systems running my own territory, took three regions to number one, and I refine the playbook every week.

Does this work for my product type?

Yes. We have members across mutual funds, annuities, alternatives, structured notes, interval funds, and private market products. The system is built around advisor relationships, not product pitches: value plus relationship equals product adoption. The business is the outcome, not the entry point.

What if my firm has strict marketing compliance requirements?

The whole system is built around value-first content: advisor education, business-building resources, and relationship campaigns that don't mention product. Content that doesn't pitch product passes compliance review more easily. Members at firms with the heaviest restrictions have found this to be one of the unexpected advantages.

I just started a new territory. Is this the right time?

Honestly, it's the best time. The Inner Circle is built for wholesalers starting from scratch: which advisors to prioritize, how to establish your brand fast in an unfamiliar market, and how to create early wins that compound. Several of our highest-performing members joined in their first 60 to 90 days in a new role.

I'm interested but the timing isn't perfect right now.

Timing is rarely perfect. What I know is that wholesalers who wait for the perfect moment usually spend another quarter doing the same thing and getting the same results.
